Dear Parents This is a REMINDER that as from Monday, 31st January parents will NOT be allowed into the College. This is in line with the strict Covid-19 guidelines. In lieu of this, Primary School parents are allowed to drop off their child/ren’s school books/stationery on Friday 28th January from 8:30am up until 3.00pm. Dear Kindy and Pre- PrimaryParents/Guardians Procedure for Dropping off Books and Stationary for Kindy and Pre-Primary School Assalamualiakum wa rahamatullahi wa barakatuhu, Welcome to our school year 2022. Year 1-6 parants were informed to drop their books off at school on Thursday and Friday this week. Kindy parents may also bring their stationery to the Kindergarten orientation on Friday morning and meet the teachers at their respective classes and drop off any stationery. Pre Primary will also be able to drop off books and stationery from 1.30pm - 3.00pm on Thursday, and 8.00 am - 11.00am on Friday. Please ensure that you clearly label all items with your child's name and year level. Thank You. Early Childhood Team


Procedure for Dropping off Books Yr 1-6

Assalamualiakum wa rahamatullahi wa barakatuhu, Dear Parents/Guardians, Al-Ameen College is excited to welcome back our lovely students! In keeping with the College’s strict COVID protocols, we have put in place a plan to facilitate dropping off student’s book list items. Please read the following instructions carefully: • Class lists will be displayed at the entry gate near J Block, for your reference. • Please ensure that your child’s booklist box/bag is clearly labelled with your child's full name and Year level. • The following drop off times have been allocated for your attention: o Thursday 27th January (1:30pm-3pm): Year 1-3 students are invited to drop off their book lists to their respective classes. o Friday 28th January (8am-11am): Year 1-3 students are invited to drop off their book lists to their respective classes. o Friday 28th January (1:30pm-3pm): Year 4-6 students are invited to drop off their book lists to their respective classes. o If you have children in multiple years in Primary school and wish to drop their items off at the same time, you may do so. • There will be staff at the gate to welcome you and assist you in finding your child’s classroom, as some class locations have changed this year. o These staff will be wearing yellow hi-vis vests. • There will be Safe WA barcodes at the gate. Please scan in as you enter the campus to comply with government guidelines. • Please exit the campus promptly as soon as your items have been delivered to their respective classrooms. We appreciate your cooperation and have put this plan in place with everyone’s safety and well-being in mind. This is going to be an exciting year for our college, and we look forward to working closely with you to cultivate the best academic and religious outcomes for your children. ACTING PRINCIPAL ANNOUNCEMENT

ACTING PRINCIPAL ANNOUNCEMENT During late 2021, the Al-Ameen College Board accepted the resignation of the Principal, Mr Mohamed Elbotaty. Mr Elbotaty is from the east coast and found employment in a new position on the east coast, prior to his resignation as Principal. The Board thanks Mr Elbotaty for his professional and nuanced forward-thinking approach as Principal and his commitment to the academic and pastoral care of our students, staff (and the wider community) during his tenure at this College. He will be missed by many. A thorough recruitment process for the College’s next Principal is underway. The Board hopes to appoint a new Principal in the near future. In the interim, Mr Naeem Meer, Assistant Principal: Curriculum and Academic, will assume the role of Acting Principal. He will be assisted by, as necessary, Ms Manal Jneid, Assistant Principal: Pastoral Care appointed last year; Sheikh Yahya Ibrahim, Assistant Principal: Religious Studies; and the Business Manager, Ms Kumesh Haripersad. Congratulations to our Class of 2021

Al-Ameen College congratulates its Class of 2021 Our College is recognised as a trendsetter in teaching, learning, student relationships and wellbeing. We create a safe social and physical environment which helps all our students learn and succeed. I am pleased to report that our dedicated approach to teaching and learning has resulted in excellent Year 12 WACE results. 50% of our Year 12 students achieved an ATAR of 80 and above, with 7 students receiving an ATAR of 90 and above. This is an outstanding achievement and recognition for the College. Congratulations to all our Year 12 students for their achievements, despite two years of very challenging circumstances, and for their resilience and attitude during their secondary school journey. I want to thank our dedicated teachers for their wonderful support of our students and congratulate them as well. We are proud of the significant accomplishments of our students and the results our College has achieved in being a better choice in education. Naeem Meer Acting Principal
