Asalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatulahi Wa Barakatahu Dear Parents, Families, Students and Staff, I pray this email finds you in the best of Health and Iman. We have had another eventful week at Al-Ameen College. In order to encourage our students to read, we have a reading challenge for our Primary School and High School students. A number of books have been selected by our librarian. Any student who borrows, reads, and then returns one of these specially selected books will win a voucher to purchase a book! The identity of the books is only known to our librarian so read, read, and read some more! We are holding our Year 11 & Year 12 Parent Teacher Meetings next week. Please ensure that you book through our new online system. I'm looking forward to seeing you there! We will be moving our newsletter to a new and engaging online format so you should receive this by email coming through to you soon, look out for it! As part of our commitment to maintain the highest levels of Child Safety, we remind all of our parents to ensure they follow our early pick-up procedures and have Photo Identification when picking up your children. We have some very exciting initiatives/programs to announce so watch this space. Have a blessed and safe weekend. Regards, Your Principal & Brother Mr Mohamed Elbotaty Al-Ameen College

RE: Year 11 Examinations and Attendance
02 June 2021

Assalamu-Alaikum WRB Dear Parents/Students, Please be informed of the following: Students are NOT required to attend school on non-exam days. If they do, they must report to the office first (to write down their names) and then follow the normal time table (unless a prior arrangement has been made with Br Mohammad Zaki to study in the library). All students are encouraged to go home immediately after their exam to prepare for their next exam. If students are not going home after exams, they must follow their normal time table each day. Students going home by public transport or walking home must inform Sr Hanady Hourani. All the best, Insha-Allah. Jazaak-Allahu-Khairan. Management Al-Ameen College

Asalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatulahi Wa Barakatahu Dear Parents, Students, Families, & Staff, I pray this message finds you in the best of health and Iman. From today, I will send a weekly (every Friday) short update/review from the Principal's desk. This week we had the sad news of the passing of Br Aqeel Uddin, the father of one of our students and husband of one of our Education Assistants, and the passing of Br Mohammed Hanafi, the brother of one of our Education Assistants. We ask Allah to enter them into the highest levels of paradise and provide comfort and ease for their families. Our focus on discipline continues with an emphasis on respectful behaviour, punctuality to and in the College, and correct uniform. We remind parents and students to reacquaint themselves with our "Behaviour Management Plan" which can be found in our Positive Behaviour Management Policy. I have included the link to our website policy section for ease of reference. College Policies: https://alameencollege.wa.edu.au/parents-and-community/college-policies Our students completed NAPLAN including make ups last week and we pray for their success and the success of the College. Have a safe and relaxing weekend in preparation for another wonderful school week! Regards, Mr Mohamed Elbotaty Principal Al-Ameen College
