Al-Ameen College Receives Funding from the Local Schools Community Fund

The Australian Government provided $30.2 million in 2019–20 to provide up to $200,000 to each of the 151 federal electorates under the Local Schools Community Fund (the Fund).

The Fund was an application-based process open to all eligible schools – government, Catholic and independent – designed to benefit students and their school community by contributing to small scale projects and their associated costs at the local school level.

Schools could apply for funding for one project between $1,000 and $20,000.

We are pleased to announce that Al-Ameen College was successful in securing funds from the Local Schools Community Fund. With these funds the College was able to expand on its technology resources by establishing a new IT Laboratory for high school students. This allowed to College to offer additional IT classes to students thereby expanding on their IT skills.

The College would like to sincerely thank the Honorable Matt Keogh MP, Federal Member for Burt who supported the College’s application.
